Criminal lawyer services for the charge you are facing
The first task is to identify the actual charges and the work required. Assault and domestic assault allegations, impaired driving or refusal charges, drug offences, fraud, theft and youth cases raise different questions. Counsel can review the counts, available disclosure and relevant evidence before advising about a defence or possible resolution. There is no reliable result to promise from the name of a charge alone.
Distinguish Toronto court locations before planning attendance
Toronto has separate facilities for different court levels and events. The Ontario Court of Justice’s Toronto criminal courthouse is at 10 Armoury Street. The Toronto Regional Bail Centre is at 2201 Finch Avenue West, while the Superior Court lists criminal scheduling at 361 University Avenue. These addresses are reference points, not directions for every case. Use the current notice and confirm the specific court, event, time and attendance method before travelling or connecting online.
Deal with custody and release-condition problems promptly
If someone is in custody, identify the known hearing information when requesting bail assistance. If already released, keep the complete undertaking or release order and later amendments together. A restriction on contact, an address or travel can affect home and work arrangements. Follow the existing terms until they are lawfully changed; another person’s permission does not itself vary them. Ask counsel about any proposed police interview before discussing the allegation, and preserve original evidence already lawfully held.
Understand what the available disclosure can establish
An early appearance is not the same thing as a complete assessment of the case. Review may involve witness accounts, recordings, police notes and documents that have not yet arrived. Keep a list of what has been received and what appears missing. Identify time-sensitive material for counsel without contacting restricted people, coordinating accounts or publishing your version online. The next legal step depends on the record and court directions.
Arrange a consultation and discuss Legal Aid
English, Punjabi and Hindi consultations are available. Aftermath Law serves Toronto from its Mississauga office rather than a separate Toronto branch. Tell the firm the type of charge, next date and whether you have a Legal Aid Ontario certificate. The firm accepts criminal certificates subject to their coverage, a conflict check and agreement to act. Legal Aid Ontario determines eligibility and authorized coverage. Contacting the firm does not itself arrange a court appearance or representation.

Common questions
Which courthouse should I attend for a Toronto criminal case?
Use your current court notice, release paperwork and any later directions. Toronto criminal proceedings can involve 10 Armoury Street, the Toronto Regional Bail Centre or the Superior Court, depending on the event and court level. Confirm uncertainty with the court rather than assuming an address.
Can I contact a criminal lawyer before all disclosure arrives?
Yes. The next appearance, custody, release restrictions or preservation of evidence may need attention first. A complete assessment requires the available disclosure and an agreed scope of work.
