What does the free initial consultation cover?
Use the free initial consultation with Dildeep Sahi to discuss the charge or police investigation. Discuss any upcoming date and what you need a lawyer to do. Before deciding whether to hire the firm, you can ask what work is proposed. You can also ask about fee arrangements and how you will stay in touch. Detailed review of documents, preparation and further legal work are arranged separately.
How are fees and the scope of representation agreed?
Ask what work the proposed engagement would include, the legal fees, applicable taxes and other costs, and when payment would be required. Clarify whether the work discussed covers a bail hearing, later court appearances, resolution discussions or trial preparation.
Which languages are available?
Dildeep himself gives consultations in English, Punjabi and Hindi.
Can I visit the office without an appointment?
Office visits at 250 Dundas Street West, Suite 402, Mississauga are by appointment only. Request a consultation or contact the firm to arrange a visit.
What should I include in my first enquiry?
Choose the type of matter and provide a way to reach you. A short message is optional. Do not send confidential documents, detailed evidence or a full history through the website form. The service guides explain what you can prepare for an agreed consultation.
Does submitting an enquiry mean you are my lawyer?
No. The firm must complete its initial review and conflict check and confirm that it has agreed to act. A consultation request does not mean the firm will accept your matter.
What if I need urgent legal help?
Call (647) 223-1980. Dildeep personally provides urgent help by phone 24/7. This is separate from scheduled first consultations. If we miss your call, we will call you back as soon as possible. The website form is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911.
Does Aftermath Law accept Legal Aid certificates?
Aftermath Law accepts Legal Aid Ontario certificates for criminal law matters, subject to review of your matter and certificate. Contact the firm about the work your certificate covers and whether the firm can take on your representation. Having a certificate does not confirm that the firm is acting for you.
